Person

Rasmus Persson is currently a post‐doctoral researcher in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York (UK). He is working on a project entitled "Unfinished utterances: a strange animal among the units of talk-in-interaction", funded by The Birgit Rausing Language Programme.

In April 2014, Rasmus Persson defended his doctoral dissertation in French linguistics. His research interests include interaction, prosody and phonetics. The dissertation is a conversation analytic investigation of linguistic resources used by interactants for securing, restoring and negotiating mutual comprehension. It exemplifies an interactional approach to phonetic aspects of French.
