Ph.D student, spanish studies.
In my doctoral thesis I'm studying the research field on Mexican writer and Nobel Prize laureate Octavio Paz and his work. I'm studying more than 40 publications published between 1965 and 2010. I'm discussing the concept of authorship to analyze how critics and scholars position themselves in relation to Paz and his texts. Paz wrote poems and essays, two genres in which the relationship between the real life author and the textual subject is not clearly defined. In the case of Paz, there are aspects in his essays on poetry, art, modernity, etc., and in his actions as intellectual, critic and editor that mark the readings of his texts. I use concepts as text, work, author, subject, and intention (Séan Burke, Andrew Bennett, Antoine COmpagnon, Dario Compagno, Alexander Nehamas, among others).
