Johan Frid
Researcher in language and speech technology, programmer. I work at SOL and the Humanities Lab. PhD in phonetics 2003 with the thesis: 'Lexical and Acoustic Modelling of Swedish Prosody'.
I work primarily with
· data analysis
· production of computer tools for collecting and analyzing data and for demonstrations and educational purposes
· collection and analysis of speech production data using articulography
· prosody, especially speech melody
· text-to-speech synthesis
I am the main programmer of ScriptLog2, a tool for data collection in writing research.
I also lead a project on the modeling of speech melody in Swedish.
I program (mainly) in python, java, javascript, php, Praat script and R.
