Sanjin Pejkovic

My research touches upon film cultures in the area that once constituted former Yugoslavia.

Main questions are concerned with topics of representations and(re)constructions of the past, constructions of the national(ist) narratives through films and collective memories in fiction and documentary films after 1989.

During 2011 I worked also as a teacher at the International Master's Programme "The Politics of Aesthetics and Communication" at the Middle Eastern Studies, Lund University, and teacher at the Bachelor- and the International Master's Programme in European Studies, Lund University

Other assignments, lectures and publications in the selection:
Between 2003 and 2008 I worked as a lecturer at the Dept. of Cultural Scienses: Film Studies, University of Gothenburg (Course director for European film at Film Studies A and shared course directory for Documentary film course at Film Studies B).
I was also a part-time teacher at Centre for the Study of Russia and Eastern Europe (Film and nationalism), University of Gothenburg and a lecturer at the evening courses in Youth and Media society at the Dept. of Cultural Scienses: Film Studies, University of Gothenburg.

Since 2009 I work as a project manager for the Creative Force Western Balkans (media educational project funded by the Swedish Institute, which includes young people's work with film and human rights, with participants from the Balkans and Sweden). Partners in this project are film festivals Dokufest(Kosovo), Makedox (Macedonia), Pravoljudski (Bosnia).

Cooperating with the Gothenburg Film Festival since 2006.

Has worked as a jury member at festivals Dokufest(Kosovo), Cinedays (Macedonia).
