English: Spoken Communication for Administrative and Technical Staff
About this course:
What do you do if you are having trouble understanding the person at the other end of the telephone line? What is the best way to break into a discussion in a meeting? Is there a right way to make small talk to someone you don’t know at a work lunch? These are just a few of the issues which will be discussed in the course.
This class focuses on oral proficiency in English. This course will consist of a total of 8 meetings (one two-hour meeting each week) over eight weeks. In these meetings, our instructors will give you the skills and tools needed to communicate in English on the job. You will practice your spoken English skills with colleagues, and in addition will gain access to a range of resources which will help you even when the course is over.
