Qusta Ibn Luqa on the preparation of purgative drugs

The aim of the project is to produce a text-critical edition, with English translation, commentaries and indices, of a text attributed to the physician Qusta Ibn Luqa who was active around 850 C.E. in Baghdad and Samarra.

Project description

The purpose of this project is to produce a text-critical edition with English translation, commentaries and extensive indices of materia medica and technical terminology of a text attributed to the 9th century physician, mathematician and astronomer Qusta Ibn Luqa who was tied to the Abbasid court and active in Baghdad and Samarra. The text edited here has the title "Notes on the preparation of purgative drugs".
