The Centre for Languages and Literature offers four Bachelor’s programmes which all in different ways cater to students with interests in languages, texts and area studies. Our Bachelor ‘s programmes offer both depth and width with regard to language proficiency and communication as well as to the understanding of political, cultural and economic circumstances and relations in various parts of the world. Our programmes will prepare you for your chosen profession through continuous teaching and learning, practice periods and the possibility to study abroad. The Centre for Languages and Literature offers five Master’s programmes with different specialisations, several of which correspond to the many languages available for study at the centre. Students can choose between studying Literature-Culture-Media, Languages and Linguistics, Translation, European Studies and Film- and Media Production. A Master’s programme entails two years of study but several programmes also offer the possibility of stepping off after one year (one-year Master). The Master’s programmes involve a substantial advancement of knowledge and proficiency in relation to the Bachelor’s programmes. In addition, several Master’s programmes serve as preparation for post-graduate studies and qualify students to apply to post-graduate programmes.
